When I first got into detailing, it was all about the work. I just really liked making cars look their best. But what surprised me is how much I ended up loving the people side of it too. I’ve met so many awesome folks through this job: car lovers, busy parents, local business owners, and people who just care about keeping their vehicles in good shape.

The best part? Getting to actually know them. I enjoy the conversations, the repeat visits, and the trust that builds over time. That’s the kind of stuff that makes this more than just a job for me. Hey, I’m Cade. I’m the owner of Deft Mobile Detailing and a lifelong Shoreline local. I run this mobile detailing business solo, and I’ve been lucky enough to turn something I genuinely enjoy into a full-time gig.

How I Got Into This

I didn’t grow up thinking I’d start a detailing business. It all kicked off when one of my close friends showed me the ropes (Shoutout Jude). I got my hands dirty learning the basics, and before long, I realized I actually loved it. There’s something satisfying about transforming a car and making it look and feel new again. It’s part art, part obsession, and I haven’t looked back since.

I’ve always had a thing for cars. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve dreamed of owning a 1976 Corvette Stingray. That car still sits at the top of my list. Until then, I’m rolling with my dependable 2002 Toyota Corolla. It’s trusty, efficient, and weirdly good at hauling detailing gear.
